The total enumerated population of Kenya is 47,564,296, with the total male population at 23,548,056 (49.5 per cent) and that of females at 24,014,716, making 50.5 per cent of the population.
Kenya is a multi-religious society where the majority (85.5 per cent) of the population are Christians with protestants, catholics, and evangelical churches accounting for 33.4 per cent, 20.6 per cent, and 20.4 per cent respectively.
On the other hand, Muslims account for 10.91 per cent of the entire population.
About 318,727 Kenyans are traditionalists, while 755,750 were reported as atheists.
