Areas within six counties will on Thursday experience power cuts to allow for system maintenance.
Kenya Power said the planned power interruptions will take place at diverse times between 8am and 5pm on July 11, 2024.
Areas to be affected are within Nairobi, Kajiado, Nyeri, Embu, Kiambu and Kilifi counties.
Nairobi
Parts of Nairobi will experience the outage from 9am to 5pm.
They include UN, Gigiri, UN Avenue, UN Crescent, Whispers Avenue, Daisy Road, Magnolia Close, Part of Ruaka Road, Lobelia Drive, Runda Road, Runda Drive and Mae Properties.
Kajiado
Power interruption in Kajiado will occur from 9am to 5pm.
Areas to be affected include Loitokitok Town, Kimana Town, Amboseli, Imbirikani, Rombo, Njukini, Customs, Ilitilal, Murtot, Ichalai Risa, Sultan Hamud, Pipeline, Kibini Quarry, Mashuru, Ngatu and Emaroro.
Nyeri
Power interruption in Nyeri will occur from 8am to 5pm.
Areas targeted include Birithia Girls, Mwanda TBC, Mahiga C/Fact, Kenyatta Mahiga High School, Kagere market, Gachami Market, Mahiga Girls School, Mathakwaini Market and Secondary School, Thiriku Coffee Factory, Mathenge Technical Institute, Gitugi Tea Factory, Gitugi market and Munyange Health Centre.
Other areas include Njigari Primary, Rwatheini Village, Kihome Market, Miiri Market, Gaturuturu Market, Gathuthi Tea Factory, Ndugamano Secondary, Ihithe market and Boys High School, Hubuini Village and Mukarara market.
Embu
Parts of Embu will experience power cuts from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
The areas include KRA offices, Majengo Chief's Camp, Racy Garage, County Secondary and Primary Schools, Shell Petrol Station and adjacent customers.
Kiambu
Takataka Solutions, Kawamwaki Farm, Nazareth Hosp, Utee Farm, Brook Hill School, Eldo Farm, Utungi and Jomalis areas in Kiambu will have power interruption from 9am to 5pm.
Kilifi
Power interruption in Kilifi will occur from 9am to 5pm.
Areas to be affected are Ganze Centre, Palakumi, Ganze Quarry and adjacent customers.
