Parliament no go zone as roads closed, access denied

Police have barricaded the road using their track.

A section of the road leading to parliament closed ahead of protests on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

Parliament has been rendered a no-go zone as police mount blockades around the building.

Police have mounted barriers on City Hall and Parliament roads to secure Parliament.

On City Hall way, the road has been blocked near the Supreme Court.

The police have barricaded the road using their track.

No pedestrians or motorists are allowed to go past the roundabout.

A contingent of police and GSU officers, armed with guns and batons.

On the other side, Parliament Road has been blocked at the roundabout near Sheria House.

Last week, irate protests breached parliament and torched part of it in unprecedented rage.
