Nominated Senator Gloria Orwoba has paid glowing tribute to late reggae DJ Njambi Koikai even as family and friends plan to lay her to rest this Friday, June 14.
Orwoba shared her experience with the late Reggae MC Njambi describing her as a kind and revolutionary person.
"Njambi lived for a reason, she was passionate about changing lives. A lot of young girls will benefit from Njambi's movement," Senator Orwoba said.
Orwoba spoke when joined family and friends at Njambi's burial service at Lang'ata cemetry.
According to Orwoba, Njambi was not just an influencer but a movement adding that she wielded strength and influence over people.
"What I learnt from Njambi is no matter how small one is, everyone has a purpose in this life," she said.
Orwoba shared that the office of the First Lady planning on how to establish an endometriosis centre all because of the influence of Njambi.
"Even in death, Njambi's legacy lives on," Orwoba said.
Koikai died on June 3, 2024 after battling endometriosis for decades.
Through the years that followed, she chronicled her experience, which made many people engage and identify with the condition.
