Linturi ranked worst performing CS, scores E in latest poll

Survey shows that the CS scored 38 per cent out of 100

Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi has been ranked the worst-performing cabinet secretary.

This is according to the new InfoTrak poll released on Monday. 

It shows that he scored 38 per cent, which translates to Grade E.

The data further shows that 33 per cent voted him as very poor, 30 per cent voted him poor, 23 per cent(average), 10 per cent(good) and four per cent(Excellent).

Linturi is the only CS who scored E, with most of his colleagues scoring D.

Interior CS Kithure Kindiki and his Sports counterpart were the exceptions with 60 per cent (B) and 51 per cent (C) respectively. 

The quantitative interviews were conducted through Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI).

The survey achieved a sample of 1700 respondents to represent the universe of adult Kenyans who were 18 years and above at the time of the survey.

There was a +2.5 at a 95 per cent degree of confidence with a 92 per cent response rate.

The survey which covered all the 47 counties and 8 regions of Kenya as conducted on May 23-29.

In May, Tifa polls showed that Linturi scored an E of 25 per cent.

According to findings of the poll, he was considered the most responsible for the poor quality (if not "fake") of subsidized fertiliser, with more than half (53 per cent) of those respondents aware of the programme blaming him.
