The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested two police officers accused of bribery.
The two officers are based at Capitol Hill Police Station, Nairobi.
EACC Spokesperson Eric Ngumbi said the two officers were allegedly demanding a bribe from a motorist as an inducement to release his motorcycle.
The officers alleged that the motorist was riding without a valid driving licence after he showed them his Provisional Driving licence.
"Unable and unwilling to pay the demanded bribe, the complainant left the station and proceeded to EACC offices where he filed a complaint on the matter," Ngumbi said.
He said that the Commission investigated the matter and on the same day mounted an operation leading to the arrest of the two police officers.
They were placed in police cells at Kilimani Police Station pending processing at EACC Integrity Centre Police Station.
