The Meteorological department has said moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Nairobi metropolitan this Monday.
The forecast shows that rains will hit 20mm in Westlands, Dagoretti South and Embakasi East.
It further shows that the rain intensity will oscillate between 20mm and 50mm in Roysambu, Embakasi South, Kibra, and Lang’ata with some pockets in Roysambu, Dagoretti North and Lang’ata expected to receive anything between 50mm and 60mm of rain.

Rains of up to 20mm are also expected to hit parts of Kiambu county including Gatundu North and South, parts of Thika town, Kiambaa, Githunguri, Juja, Lari, Limuru, Kikuyu, Kabete and parts of Juja.
The weatherman says parts of Kajiado North will also receive moderate to heavy rains same as Mavoko in Machakos county.
Meanwhile, the Met Department said rain intensity is expected to reduce beginning Tuesday.
In its seven-day forecast ending June 3, the weatherman, however, said rainfall is expected in Central highlands, Western Kenya and Rift Valley during the forecast period.
The forecast shows that parts of the Coastal strip including Garsen and Lamu will also receive rains of up to 20mm.
Daytime temperatures, it added, will exceed 30°C at the Coast, North Eastern and North Western Kenya.
“Night temperatures will be less than 10°C in Central Highlands. Strong winds of more than 25 knots in Coast and Northeastern Kenya,” Met said.
