An anti-corruption has postponed the plea-taking of Former Murang'a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria and others.

This is after it emerged an order was issued by the Murang'a High Court stopping their prosecution over an alleged Sh351m probe.

Milimani Anti-corruption magistrate Thomas Nzyuki deferred the plea to 3 pm today to allow Wa Iria's counsel to avail in court a certified copy of the Murang'a orders.

The order from Murang'a issued by Lady Justice Cecilia Githua relates to Wa Iria, Jane Waigwe Kimani and Solomon Mutura Kimani.

The magistrate also said the prosecution's application for a warrant of arrest against some other seven accused persons will be dealt with at 3 pm.
