Murang'a Seal's Cornelius Juma and Titus Kapchanga celebrate in a recent match

Murang'a Seal head coach Juma Abdalla reckons his charges have ultimately rediscovered their winning touch after blowing hot and cold in their recent Kenyan Premier League encounters.

The topflight newbies were on a roll in the KPL Round of 25 fixtures, thumping bottom-placed Nzoia Sugar 4-0 on Sunday at St. Sebastian Park.

Joe Waithira opened the floodgates seven minutes into the encounter before Titus Kapchanga latched onto Eric Balecho's cross to double Seal's advantage on the stroke of halftime.

Two quickfire goals wreaked further havoc on the sugar millers' machine.

Batts Awita burned a hole into the net in stoppage time before second-half substitute Maxwel Odada hammered the final nail into Nzoia's casket in the first minute of added time.

Abdalla lavished praise on his charges for exhibiting a great character in the match.

"We had a good game and I was impressed by the effectiveness of all the departments. They were all functional," Abdalla remarked.

"I'm satisfied with the efforts we have put into our campaign lately, and I believe we can wrap up the competition on a high if we manage to sustain the momentum," he added.

As Abdalla basked in the huge victory, the newly appointed Nzoia head gaffer Mike Mururi rued a bad day in office after kicking off his tenure on a torrid note.

"We didn't expect it to end in such a disastrous way but we have picked up some vital lessons from the loss which might prove meaningful in our subsequent encounters," Mururi remarked.

"Our immediate goal is to save ourselves from being relegated at the end of the season, something I believe we shall be able to pull off," he added.

Seal cracked the top ten with Sunday's outcome after securing ninth with 34 points, 15 adrift of leaders Gor Mahia, who were held to a barren draw by Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday.

Bidco United settled for a barren draw with KCB at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

10-man Sofapaka squandered an early lead to play out a one-all draw against AFC Leopards at Nyayo Stadium.

Rodgers Kipkemoi fired Sofapaka into the lead barely a minute from the off before Victor Omune ruined the party with a 61st-minute equaliser.

Kipkemoi would later turn from hero to villain when centre referee Wilson Otieno sent him for an early shower following an infringement in the 73rd minute.

Kenya Police fended off a vicious challenge to beat Talanta 2-1 in Machakos.
