Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook are reported to have gone offline briefly on Wednesday night minutes past 9pm.
Users reported their inability to receive messages in what appeared to be a major outage affecting many people across the globe.
Tracking website Down Detector showed a vast number of reports of outages were made minutes past 9pm.
Users in several countries reported outages in all three major Meta apps.
Samples of concerns raised by users indicated that many were unable to detect whether they were online or even send messages.
The issue however lasted briefly as users reported normalcy shortly after.
