Some officers are concerned with the developments around the security of a senior government official whenever he is in public given what has happened in the past few weeks. They feel there is disarray and disorder, and want those concerned to take action soonest possible to address any weaknesses therein. There have been incidents where the public rush to "meet" the boss which security officials say could be dangerous. One incident forced a bodyguard to dash from the chase car to save the situation.

A landlord in one of the counties in western Kenya is said to have threatened to sue a political party for failing to pay rent for almost a year now. The landlord has decried that his requests to the party to pay rent have been met with excuses of all manner. We are told that the party’s county officials have since stopped picking the landlord’s calls. The man has vowed to evict the party from his building and sue its top officials to recover the money owed to him.

They say the arm of law is long but no one says how long the arm of corruption is. This is the question some members of an oversight agency were overheard asking themselves over a recent event and its host. They hold that while the event meant well, the facility that played host raised eyebrows. They wondered whether organisers were aware of the history behind the premises or were just operating blindly. Some members of the group said the possibility of connivance could not be overruled, or an attempt by the owner of the premises to get back into the good books of his guest.
