Film Director Philip Karanja also known as Phil Director has said the move to sell his wife Catherine Kamau was with mutual consent.
In a statement on his Instagram stories, Phil Director said there is no dispute between him and his former wife.
"I wish to officially document that the vehicle was sold with mutual consent, and there are no disputes with Kate, contrary to portrayals suggesting otherwise," he said.
The statement was reiterated with the Cate Actress saying they had no disagreements.
Rumours were rife that the director repossessed and sold his ex-wife's car after they broke up.
In September, the two released a joint statement announcing their divorce after years of marriage.
They said they had parted ways a while ago and asked for privacy for the sake of their children.
"We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our children," they said.
Phil responded by saying they remain friends and business partners in the future.
"Hii ni mambo ya watu wawili but allow us to add you to the group chat kidogo so we can proceed with our lives bila story mob. Kate Actress and I remain as friends, co-parents and business partners," he said.
