The year 2023 has been quite eventful for President William Ruto from hosting heads of state to visiting other countries and county tours.
During these events, the President left unforgettable memories through pictures.

Ruto visits the Western Wall in Israel for prayer
Early in the year, President Ruto joined other pilgrims at the Western Wall in Israel during his visit to pray for the country.
In the photos, Ruto is clad in a black suit with his head covered in a white Zucchetto.

Hosting Safari Rally
The 2023 WRC Safari Rally in Naivasha was flagged off by President Ruto in June 2023.
The President attended the rally and interacted with Kenyans and the WRC Safari Rally participants. Unlike other days when he was chauffeured, the President took the wheels himself.
Ruto was seen driving himself after viewing the2023 WRC Safari Rally shakedown.

Breaking Iftar with Muslims
The President donned full Muslim regalia when he joined the Muslim faithful for Iftar organised by the Eastleigh Business District Association at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
Ruto was joined by his Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi, CS for Defence Aden Duale and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja among others.

Maasai outfit
The President impressed many Kenyans after he was spotted rocking Maasai traditional attires in Narok. He was officially opening the inaugural Maasai Cultural Week.
The Maasai cultural week brought together Maa-speaking tribes from Narok, Kajiado, Samburu, Laikipia, Nakuru and Njembs of Baringo.
This was not the first time the President came out in a full Maasai cultural regalia. On a separate occasion, the President attended the Turkana Tourism and Cultural Festival in Lodwar town.
He was dressed in a beautiful Maasai shuka that was in red and blue boxes. On his neck which was covered in a white cloth, he had a red necklace made of beads 'Maasai shanga'.
On his head, he had a hat that was made of long feathers surrounded by other beautiful jewellery and held a Maasai rungu. He finished his outfit with Maasai 'akalas'.

Championing climate change
President Ruto was been named by Time Magazine as one of the world's 100 most influential leaders shaping global climate action.
Ruto has been vocal in trying to deal with the impact of climate change in Kenya and Africa.
The President has continuously urged Kenyans to plant trees at every chance they get with an ambition of planting 15 billion trees in 10 years.
President Ruto has not been left behind as he has been participating in the tree planting.
His ambition and efforts have seen him hailed by King Charles III during his visit to Kenya.
The government set aside a tree-planting holiday held on November 13 that saw Kenya plant over 150 million trees according to the government spokesman Isaac Mwaura.

County tours
Ruto made county tours where he launched development projects and interacted with residents.
The President also joined Christians in various countries for Thanksgiving Church Services in various counties.
