The Agricultural Development Corporation ( ADC) has named Dr Wilson Tunoi as the new acting Managing Director.
He replaces Mohammed Bulle who has retired.
The corporation's board led by Chairman Abdillahi Alawy announced the appointment of Dr Tunoi.
The board unanimously resolved to appoint Dr Tunoi.
Before his appointment, Dr Tunoi was the technical manager of operations at ADC.
Dr Tunoi holds a master's degree in business administration (strategic management option) from St Paul's University and a Bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Nairobi.
Dr Tunoi has served at ADC for over 30 years.
He had previously worked as ADC's regional Manager Kitale, which is the backbone of the corporation.
During his reign in Kitale, Dr Tunoi is credited with progressive production and timely payment for workers.
"I will work with the board to ensure ADC operations continue smoothly," said Dr Tunoi.
He will serve in an acting capacity for six months.
ADC had advertised and interviewed for the CEO position in September.
Three names were submitted to the ministry of Agriculture for the appointment of a substantive CEO.
"I will work with the board to ensure ADC operations continue smoothly," said Dr Tunoi.
He said ADC was committed to discharging its mandate guided by the board and the parent ministry.
Dr Tunoi also assured ADC staff of his commitment to teamwork and improved service delivery.
