President William Ruto on Monday chaired a National and County Government's Summit at State House in Nairobi.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Council of Governors Chair Anne Waiguru were present.
Attorney General Justin Muturi was also at the Summit.
Ruto said he supports devolution as it brings development to the grassroots.
"Devolution remains the cornerstone of delivering development," Ruto said.
He said intergovernmental relations are also key to ensuring the country moves forward.
Governors from all over the country were present for the Summit. Among them were Isiolo Governor Abdi Hassan Guyo, Marsabit Governor Mohamud Ali and Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga.
Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro and his counterpart from Kwale, Fatuma Achani were also present.
Kitui Governor Julius Malombe and Makueni Governor Mutala Kilonzo Junior were at the Summit.
