For big and medium sized rings, cut the onions into rings about ¼ of an inch thick, separating them from each other.

Coat each onion ring with a mixture of flour, baking powder, salt and paprika or chili powder.

Shake the rings to remove excess flour and then combine in a sperate bowl with milk, pepper, and egg and beat until well combined.

Next, coat each onion ring in breadcrumbs then drop in a fryer or in a pot with enough oil to cover the onion rings.

Once ready, use paper towels to pat the rings dry to get rid of the excess oil then serve.
