Kenya Lionesses head coach Dennis Mwanja has made three changes for the Elgon Cup clash against Uganda in Kisumu on Saturday.

Maureen Muritu, Naomi Amunguni and Janet Chanya, who are among the players who did duty at the Africa Sevens-cum-Olympic qualifiers in Tunisia last month, will feature in this clash.

Muritu has been handed a start while Amunguni and Chanya will join the fray off the bench.

Enid Ouma, who led the side to survival in Dubai in the WXV 3 tournament, captains the team again in Kisumu where she will start Saturday’s fixture on blindside flank.

She is part of a back row that also features Diana Kemunto at openside and Phoebe Akinyi at number eight.

Maureen Chebet and Faith Livoi continue their second row partnership with Everlyne Kalemera, Knight Otwoma and Natasha Emali rounding off the front row.

Judith Okumu and Ann Goretti continue their half-back pairing while Stella Wafula partners Muritu in midfield. Christabel Lindo, Sharon Auma and Diana Omosso complete the back three.

Mwanja said he is looking forward to a competitive match against the Ugandans.
