Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has sent a cryptic message to key political players in the country after the conclusion of King Charles III and Queen Camilla's visit to Kenya.

The CS who is known for never mincing his words said on Saturday that tribal kingpins who have been wrestling for the control of regions can now take to the stage.

"Sasa venye King amerudi kwao (Now that King Charles is back to England), fake Kingpins you can take over," CS Kuria said.

The remarks come at a time when Moses Kuria has linked to supremacy battles pitting key Mt Kenya leaders even as the region appears unsettled on who its political point man is.

This battle for regional Kingship has seen CS Kuria blame it for the ouster bid of Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza.

Mwangaza who was impeached by the Meru County Assembly has her day set at the Senate Assembly where she will face a plenary on November 7 and 8.

"I stand with Governo4 Kawira Mwangaza. This is an evil scheme by someone who thinks that the only way to be a Mt Kenya Kingpin is to bring down other leaders not to solve the problems of our people who are getting desperate by the day. History will vindicate me," he said.

Almost similar remarks on kingship were made by President William Ruto during his address at the State banquet.

President Ruto while addressing the State banquet said the tribal leaders masquerading as kingpins should take a break as the real King was in the county.

The State banquet was in honour of King Charles and Queen Camilla's visit to Kenya.

"Your majesty, in this country, we have kingpins in different regions, and for that reason, I want to say that the contest is suspended because the real king is in the country,” he said.

The two high-profile leaders arrived in the country on Monday night for a four-day state visit that began Tuesday.

The visit ended on Friday when President Ruto saw the off at Moi International Airport, Mombasa.
