A man has come out to profess his love for Kenyan musician Akothee a few days after speculations of her breakup with Denis Schweizer, popularly known as Omosh.
In a letter shared by Akothee through her Instagram page, the man introduced himself as Captain Dominic Omondi.
He said after learning that the musician is single, he saw it as the right moment to speak his heart out.
"I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirit. I wanted to take a moment to express my admiration for you and your work It's been quite some time since I've followed your career and I've always been captivated by your talent, beauty and charisma," Omondi said.
"I recently learnt that you are now single and while I understand that personal matters can be delicate, I wanted to let you know that I've developed a genuine crush on you over the years."
Omondi, however, said that he wanted to respect Akothee's space and privacy. He told her not to be under any pressure to respond or acknowledge his feelings.
The mystery man further said he would continue supporting the musician as he wished her happiness and fulfilment in her endeavours.
"Your dedication to your craft and the positive impact you have had on your fans, including myself is truly inspiring. Thank you for being an incredible talent and a source of inspiration for many. Wishing you all the best in this new chapter of your life," he said.
The mother of five on October 1 posted a worrying update about her state saying that she had been undergoing therapy for something that had put her in a very 'dangerous zone.'
She said she has gone through a lot in the past couple of months, went without food and broke down several times while going through the dark time.
A day later, the Instagram account of her husband Dennis Schweizer, who was christened Omosh disappeared.
Omosh's Instagram account had photos of him together with the musician.
He had pictures of their colourful wedding as well as them having fun during their honeymoon.
Before the disappearance of the account, Kenyans noticed that Akothee's profile page which had the names 'Mrs Schweizer' and 'Marketer' had vanished.
The current name is Akothee Kenya and she added CEO Akothee Safaris, CEO of Akothee Foundation and Marketing Consultant.
