A besieged state official has reportedly gone quiet and reduced his acerbic attacks on his boss following a truce brokered by some politicians. Corridors is informed the big boss had threatened to engineer the official's sacking if he continued to challenge him openly. All hell had broken loose because the top dog had met some people and outlined why he needed to cut the officer down to size over his ‘oversize horns’.
