Kalonzo leads Azimio's delegation to Field Marshal Muthoni's funeral

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is leading the Azimio delegation that is attending the burial of Mau Mau veteran, Field Marshal Muthoni Kirima.

Kalonzo is in Nyeri accompanied by former Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa and former Murang'a governor Mwangi wa Iria, among others.

Wamalwa, in a statement on Friday, said that even as they lay Kirima to rest, her legend will continue living in Kenyans.

"In Nyeri County with H.E Kalonzo Musyoka and Mwangi wa Iria burying Mau Mau female Field Marshal, Muthoni Kirima whose legend will live on as Kenyans continue to be warmed by the fires of freedom that she lit quench their thirst for democracy from Wells of independence she dug for," he said in a tweet ahead of the burial.
