Police dismiss claims of suicide note in bloggers' death

Police officers in Kitale town, Trans-Nzoia County have said that no suicide note was recovered in the mysterious death of the Bungoma-based blogger as claimed by the family.

Ernest Wafula who was governor Kenneth Lusaka’s blogger died under unclear circumstances in Kitale on Sunday after spending time with his fiancée.

“No suicide note was left at the girlfriend’s house,” the police stated.

Police reports indicate that the deceased climbed over the balcony of the said building known as Bright Estate on the second floor, jumped over and landed on the roof of an office at Benam Education Center adjacent to the building.

The weight of the deceased could not be sustained by the weak roof, eventually, his body dropped into the office of the head teacher at the institution.

The institution's director Nelson Barasa expressed shock at the events of the incident that left the deceased body in the institution's office.

Detectives from Kitale police station visited the scene and found the dead body lying naked in the office in a pool of blood suspected to have oozed from the nose as a result of the impact on the fall.

County Criminal investigations officer Francis Kihara confirmed the incident saying detectives have launched investigations on events before the incident.

The body was transferred from the Kitale County Referral Hospital morgue and moved to Lugulu Mission mortuary in Bungoma County.
