A man accused of possessing several guns in Kawangware, Nairobi, Kenya has pleaded guilty to the charges.

Tonny Paul Omare pleaded guilty before Kibera Chief Magistrate Ann Mwangi when he appeared in court Wednesday.

He is accused of possessing the said guns without a required firearm certificate as required by the law.

The court heard that on August 31 while in Kawangware, Dagoretti Sub-county, the accused person possessed; a Gilboe gun, a CZ gun, a Desert Eagle Soae pistol and a Mini Ceska pistol serial number G258325 which the police believe that he obtained in an illegal way.

The accused person maintained the plea of guilty in all the counts and the prosecution pleaded with the court for him to be detained ahead of facts reading Thursday.

The matter will be mentioned on Thursday for facts reading, mitigation and further directions.
