Political Analyst Herman Manyora has urged President William Ruto to reconsider the frequency of his visits to counties.

In a statement on Monday, Manyora who commended Ruto for visiting his backyard (Western region), said the county visits were becoming too much.

"President Ruto, Thank you for visiting our Mulembe nation. But from a loyal subject: Consider putting these visits and launches to a Stop," he said.

Manyora said the visits were becoming too much and a drain on resources.

"Your Excellency, moving the president around is costly. It may interest you to know that all work stops when you’re around.

"The entire western region shut for all the time you were there. Please consider this as coming from your loyal subject and with tremendous respect and utmost humility. Once again thank you for your visit to Western," he said.

President Ruto is currently on a five-day tour of the Western region.

Last week, he had a busy week that saw him visit at least nine counties.

Ahead of marking his one year in office on September 13, 2023, Ruto has maintained his topmost strategy of keeping constant touch with the ground and the people.

If it's not launching or inspecting projects, he is attending church services.

Ruto visited Narok, Nyandarua, Baringo, Nakuru, Kisii, Nyamira, Bungoma, Busia and Kakamega.
