President William Ruto is set to attend interdenominational service at Kiwanja Ndege on Sunday.
Bungoma leaders led by Governor Kenneth Lusaka say that all is set to receive the Head of state for a two-day visit to the county.
Ruto will be accompanied by his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Trade CS Moses Kuria and PS Juma Mukhwana among others.
"We are fully prepared for this occasion.I humbly call on our people to unite and welcome the President,” Lusaka said.
During the visit, President Ruto will launch various projects including the 300-bed capacity maternity wing at Bungoma County referral hospital, a new Bungoma County assembly building, roads, and an aggregation industrial park at Sang’alo Institute of Science and Technology.
President William Ruto arrived in Kakamega on Friday ahead of his five-day tour of the Western Kenya region.
At the same time, the leaders from the region have rallied calls for unity ahead of Ruto's development visit to the region.
Governor Lusaka urged leaders drawn from the region to embrace the Head of State's visit with open arms, noting that this working visit will impact significantly on the economy and a major boost to the legacy projects.
"Campaigns are long behind us. It is time to unite and steer our economy,” he added.
He was accompanied by MP’s John Waluke (Sirisia), John Makali (Kanduyi), Didmus Barasa (Kimilili), John Chikati (Tongaren), Martin Wanyonyi (Webuye East), MCA’s among others.
