Former Presidential aspirant Jimi Wanjigi has told President William Ruto that Kenyans are suffering because of the tough economic conditions.
Speaking during the laying of the Foundation Stone for ACK St James Cathedral in Kiambu town, an event graced by Ruto, Wajingi said many Kenyans have no money to keep them going.
"The problem of everyone present here today is that things are tough for them on the ground. There is no money and the president should know the state of everyone," he said.
Wanjigi said that the last time he was in Kiambu, the people looked strong and full of life unlike what he was seeing at the moment.
He said the people still lacked sincere inner hearts despite the president being around in the area.
The former presidential aspirant said Kenyans were facing serious challenges that really needed to be looked into.
"Most of the people you see here sleep with pangas under their pillows, not because they are worried about thugs coming for their TV but because they are protecting their food," he said.
