President William Ruto has said he is ready to sacrifice everything in a bid to curb unemployment in the country.

Speaking during a church service at the Faith Evangelistic Ministries (FEM) in Karen on Sunday, he reiterated that the housing plan is one of the key interventions in providing job opportunities to youths.

"Many people were wondering 'Why are you pushing this housing agenda? Who told you we need a house? We all have houses what is this?' It wasn't so much about the houses it was so much about the jobs for the young people of Kenya," Ruto said.

"I'm ready to pay any price to have a plan on how to create opportunities for the young people of Kenya."

He said for the first time in Kenya, the government has a comprehensible means of offering jobs to young people through the affordable housing program.

"We have never had a comprehensive programme, deliberate, intentional to create opportunities for the young people of Kenya to have income," he said.

"I am happy that this time round we not only have a plan but we have clear interventions, money to do it and create jobs in the housing plan in the digital space, exporting labour."

The President called on the clergies to pray for the Kenya Kwanza government not to go astray but to stick to their promises.

"Please pray for us so that we can be faithful and we can keep to our commitments and we can keep focus and make sure that nobody steals the future of our country," Ruto said.
