Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has urged institutions of higher learning to work together to foster growth and knowledge amongst learners.

Mudavadi insisted that by enforcing unity of purpose through strategic partnerships across all sectors, Kenya will get back on the trajectory of prosperity.

He spoke on Thursday when President William Ruto awarded the Charter to the Open University of Kenya.

“The story of the Open University of Kenya is a testament to the collective efforts of the people who have shaped their narrative," he said.

"It is essential that we continue to work together to cultivate an environment of peace and stability, allowing every Kenyan to flourish.”

The Charter was awarded at the Konza City Complex in Machakos.

The Prime CS underscored the crucial role technology plays in Kenya's development, with Konza being at the forefront of driving innovation.

He said that the Open University of Kenya, empowered by technology, will become a beacon of knowledge accessible to millions of Kenyans overnight and across the globe.

Mudavadi assured the congregants of the government’s commitment to collaboration ensures that the well of education will never run dry.

“I commend the President for the bold move he has taken in ensuring this project is a success. All those who supported the projects are key ambassadors of change in our country,” he said.

“Technology is one of the key pillars in the Kenya Kwanza plan. It has now opened the doors where the reservoir of knowledge has been broadened overnight to Kenyans and also deepened and we are confident that if we work together, that reservoir of knowledge of education shall never dry.”
