Kilifi Governor on Tuesday reshuffled his cabinet to replace slain Kilifi chief officer Rahab Karisa.

Karisa was the Chief Officer for Fisheries and Blue Economy before she was killed.

Environment and Solid Waste CEC Habat Mwachiro was moved to Tourism and Trade.

He was also appointed to act as Chief Officer for Fisheries and Blue Economy to replace Rahab.

The CECM in charge of Tourism, Trade and Corporative Development Raymond Ngala was moved to Finance and Planning.

Others are Yaya Shosi CECM for Public Service and Clara Chonga was moved from Early Childhood Education, Vocational Training and ICT to the Trade Department.

Chonga was replaced by Franklin Kaingu the CEC for Public Service Management Devolution, Special Programs and Disaster Management.

"This individual public officers will be held accountable for any misconduct or any wrong and any cases of corruption and misuse of government offices will be dealt with firmly as per the law," he said.

Rahab was allegedly stabbed to death by her house help in Mnarani, Kilifi county.

She had returned to the country from a work trip in Italy.

According to a private guard, the house help escaped before officers from a private firm arrived for their morning duties.

Mung'aro eulogised Rahab as an industrious and hardworking officer.

He called on the police to investigate the matter expeditiously and bring the culprit to book.
