Mworoa termed as timely, the visit by PS Omollo, considering the backdrop of the recent violent protests.

Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo, who stood in for the host MP Gideon Ochanda, called on sobriety in the leadership of the country if the violent protests are to be voided.

"Thank you for standing up for the country when it was going through a difficult process in the last couple of weeks. It is upon us to call for sobriety," Elisha said.

He hailed the security team starting from the lowest rank of the assistant chief to the regional commissioner and regional police commander for having done everything possible to restore order in the country.

"PS (Omollo), it is because of this team of yours that we sleep at night. Allow me to congratulate you for the work that you are doing," Mworoa.

Also attending the closed-door security meeting were regional police commander Manasseh Musyoka, regional prisons commander, regional directorate of criminal investigations officer, and the national intelligence service coordinator.
