Former Root Party running mate Justina Wamae now says that Azimio leader Raila Odinga should be given what he wants if it will bring peace to the country.
Speaking on Friday, Wamae insisted that if Raila wants money, he should be given.
She went on to say that each time the country has been in the situation we are in, talks between the government of the day and the former Prime Minister have always brought a solution.
"We need to accept that there's winning and losing but as it is now, we have to bend rules a bit. It has always been that when there is chaos Raila is called somewhere... Raila apewe pesa, if that is what he wants," Wamae said.
Wamae who spoke in an interview on Spice FM was making remarks on the current state of the nation.
The opposition led by Raila Odinga had called for three days of protests beginning Wednesday through to Friday. They are expected to end today for this week.
Wamae also called on the Kenya Kwanza administration led by President William Ruto to consider returning fuel subsidies to lower the cost of living.
She said the biggest issue is the cost of fuel in the country, and the state cannot say it has no money.
"The government needs to realise that fuel is the issue and sometimes you pick what other governments have done and has worked. Why not return the fuel subsidy? They can't tell us they don't have money," she added.
