Students who wish to join the Kenya Medical Training College will have to wait longer to submit their applications.
This is after the college announced that the applications for September 2023 intake had not yet been opened.
KMTC CEO Kelly Oluoch in a notice through the college website said the move is to improve efficiency in the college’s admission process.
“To improve the efficiency of our admission process, we have received and are implementing the valuable feedback from stakeholders. Further, we have partnered with like-minded organisations to enhance our capacity for the selection and placement of students,” Oluoch said.
“In this regard, therefore, please note that the applications for KMTC September 2023 intake have not yet been opened. As a result, the selection and placement process has not commenced."
Oluoch has advised prospective applicants to wait for the college to announce the opening of the application portal in the coming days.

The graduates of the college account for more than 85 per cent of the local middle-level workforce in the health facilities in Kenya.
KMTC's role as a centre of excellence for health worker training is a key component of the government's efforts to improve the country's healthcare system.
