Businesses were on Wednesday morning paralysed in Migori town as Azimio anti-government protests began.

Police were seen patrolling the streets after Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome banned the demos terming them illegal.

However, protesters continued gathering in several parts of the town.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga has dispatched key members of the Azimio coalition to lead anti-government demonstrations at the grassroots.
