Political analyst and former President Uhuru Kenyatta's technical adviser Mutahi Ngunyi has said that President William Ruto has lost the Hustler Nation he campaigned to save.
Ngunyi, in a statement, said Ruto lost the hustlers the same way Uhuru lost the Gema community in the run-up to the 2022 general elections.
He questioned what President Ruto will tell the poor he campaigned on the platform of liberating when he will be seeking re-election in 2027.
Ngunyi asked if they will believe anything he will say to have done to lower the cost of living for them as promised during polls.
Dear Ruto: You have LOST the Hustler Nation, the way Uhuru LOST the GEMA Nation. What will you tell them in the 2027 election? Stories of Maize and fertiliser? Will they BELIEVE you? You will have to KILL someone. But remember: You can kill the MESSENGER, but not the MESSAGE.

Ngunyi advised that for Ruto to be safe, he has to take drastic action.
He also reminded him that even as he takes action, he should remember only a messenger of the message can be killed, not the message.
"You will have to kill someone. But remember: You can kill the messenger, but not the message."
On Monday, the political analyst reminded President William Ruto that by December 2023, he will have three years and six months left on his term.
He went on to ask when the head of state intends to start working for Kenyans as promised.
"Dear Ruto: Christmas, you will have only three-and-a-half years left. And you will have achieved nothing. The rebellion virus is now an epidemic powered by the Courts," Ngunyi tweeted.
They killed CASs, then suspended the Finance Act 2023. And there is Raila. When will you start work? Christmas?"
