Interior CS Kithure Kindiki in a tweet on Tuesday said the government will deal with all violent extremists in Kenya.
"The government shall defeat al Shabaab and all violent extremists who continue to threaten our national security and destabilise communities in North Eastern Kenya" the tweet reads in part.
The CS is expected in Wajir, Mandera, and Garissa for a series of engagements with county security and intelligence committees, leaders and residents.
The three have been among the terror-prone counties.
