Nairobi Woman representative Esther Passaris has detailed reasons why she will not join Azimio's future demonstrations.
Speaking on Tuesday, the legislator said she will not join the demos because of health complications.
The Nairobi woman rep said she believes people have a right to demonstrate.
"I suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder since 2017, I have never recovered and it gets worse. I will not join the demonstrations. I believe everybody has a right to demonstrate but for health reasons, I do not go for demos," Passaris said.
She said that the opposition and the government can sit down and talk to better the lives of Kenyans.
"We've got some hardcore from both sides. This hardcore saying they do not want handshake but Baba (Azimio leader Raila Odinga) wants the country governed well," she said.
Passaris said the high cost of living will go up before it comes down.
This comes after Azimio leader Raila Odinga suspended bipartisan talks and threatened to call for demos if issues are not addressed.
Raila suspended the talks saying the Kenya Kwanza camp failed to heed their demands.
The opposition boss has been leading a series of demos across the country to protest over the high cost of living among other issues.
Raila has, however not stated when the demos will resume.
