A Junior secondary school teacher was on Wednesday arraigned at the Kajiado law courts for allegedly sodomising his 16-year-old nephew.

The 30-year-old was presented before Principal Magistrate Edgar Kagoni charged with sodomising his nephew between April 2023 and December last year when the nephew underwent circumcision and was placed under his care.

He pleaded not guilty and was released on a bond of Sh400,000.

The case will be heard on June 6, 2023. The accused man had in 2019 been charged with engaging in homosexuality with two other men.

The three claimed before the court to have met on Facebook before arranging for a meeting in Kajiado where, according to police, they agreed that the teacher pays each of the two men Sh10,000 for the sexual adventure.

The teacher, however, failed to pay the agreed amount and insisted on paying half the price, prompting the two men in their early twenties to report the matter at the Kajiado Police Station.

They were all arrested and arraigned for practising homosexuality. The matter is still pending in court.

According to the September 30, 2019 court proceedings, the teacher and the two young men who had travelled from Mombasa to Kajiado town after agreeing on Facebook that they would be paid the agreed amount, were arrested and charged.

They were charged for allegedly engaging in homosexuality.

They denied the charges and were released on a cash bail of Sh100,000 each.
