Kenya Power has announced the loss of electricity supply in parts of Nairobi, North Rift and Western.
This follows what the utility firm termed as a system disturbance which affected major transmission lines.
The company has, however, said technicians are working to restore power supply at the "earliest opportunity".
"Our engineers are working to restore the electricity supply to the affected areas at the earliest opportunity."
"We apologise to our customer for inconveniences caused," Kenya Power said.
