City lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi now says that Azimio leader is not only after half of President William Ruto's government.

According to him, Raila and his financiers are after the entire government.

Ahmednasir noted that it is time the head of state starts dealing with the opposition decisively.

He insisted that the time for Ruto to act is now.

"H.E @WilliamsRuto must smell the coffee and see the reality. Raila and his financiers don't want half of your govt...the want the whole of it. The applicable law to address the situation of insurgencies is known to all and President Ruto should stop pussyfooting and act decisively. Raila and his financiers should have been dealt with properly in Oct 2022 but Ruto still has time...and time to act is now," he said on Twitter.

"How can a government tolerate an open insurgency like the one led by Raila and his sponsor? How can a constitutional democracy like ours not act against persons who openly want to overthrow it. Prof @makaumutua azimio's shadow AG is on record on this...that their ultimate goal is to take State House."

Ahmednasir reiterated that Raila-led demonstrations have never been about peaceful protests.

He said the protests are about a tribal insurgency that is focused on taking power unconstitutionally, no matter the cost.

Ahmednasir equated the Azimio protests to others led by opposition and rebel groups in other African countries, in their quests to overthrow the legitimately elected governments.

"Raila variously stated his ultimate goal was to remove H.E William Ruto from power and install himself as President the August 2022 elections notwithstanding. In my view, Raila's insurgency is the same as those of Joseph Kony's Lord's Resistance Army, Col Sultani Makenga's M23, Jonas Savimbi's UNITA, Alfonso Dhlakoma's Renamo and many other insurgencies that sought to take power in the African continent," he added.
