Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi now says that Opposition leader Raila Odinga should not take Kenyans for fools.

Speaking in Mombasa on Sunday, Mudavadi insisted that it is time, the former Prime Minister stopped destroying the country with his demand for Kofi Annan-like talks with President William Ruto.

He was responding to demands by Azimio that IEBC servers should be opened to show the real winner of the August 9, 2022, presidential polls.

The Prime CS said the opposition's demands are not honest and realistic, but a diversionary tactic to disrupt the Kenya Kwanza plan to work for the people.

"Let us not destroy our country. This shrewd move and ill-motive by Azimio to try and say they are looking for talks like the Kofi Annan Serena talks is an exercise in futility," he said.

“When you say the servers have to be opened, why are you forgetting and taking Kenyans for fools? The Supreme Court ordered that the servers be opened and the Registrar of the Supreme Court led that exercise under the watch of lawyers from both Azimio and Kenya Kwanza. What new thing do you want?”Mudavadi posed.

He noted that Raila's acts amount to over-taxing Kenyans, which he said should not be the case.

Mudavadi said Kenyans need a breather from the protests, adding that the Kenya Kwanza administration will remain firm in maintaining stability in the country moving forward.

"We cannot allow vandals to continue vandalising the investments of Kenyans and if you try and dangle the carrot or the stick around ICC on Kenyan people it will not hold," he said.

"Kenya has not degenerated to that level and we will not degenerate to that level, we as a government will remain firm and stability will be maintained moving forward."

He added that all leaders should focus on turning around the economy, which is what the William Ruto-led government promised Kenyans.
