Price of Unga will go down from next week, President William Ruto has said.

Speaking in Machakos county on Friday, Ruto said imported maize will arrive in Kenya tomorrow (Saturday)

"By the end of tomorrow, flour that I imported will have arrived," he said.

Unga now retails from a range of Sh150 to Sh250 in supermarkets and retail shops.

Ruto said he will ensure there is a balancing between flour from local producers and the importing flour.
