Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has opined that the economy of Kenya will collapse if political issues are not addressed.

"If the politics of Kenya are not fixed today! Kenya will collapse within the next two months," he said on Wednesday.

The ODM legislator said that failed promises will no longer be of use as it will be too late.

"Next week contractors will demonstrate, nurses, doctors and civil servants will follow, then promise after promise will no longer gain traction even those who have taken a conscious sabbatical will come back to a destroyed economy," Ledama noted.

Earlier, the second-term senator said the Opposition team led by Raila Odinga will soon go back to demonstrations.

Ledama said the Kenya Kwanza bipartisan team has shown a lack of seriousness in the talks.

"The lack of seriousness of the bipartisan deliberation on the KK part is the straw that broke the camel's back! We are back to the people," Ledama tweeted.

Raila last week warned that they will have to go back to demos if President William Ruto fails to take them seriously.

He said that they are focused on the outcome of the truce and will not be swayed.

"We assure our people and Kenyans that our eyes are firmly on the ball, and reiterate that we shall go back to the people as the earliest sign of lack of seriousness by the other side," he said.

Going back to the people is the phrase Raila used when he resorted to demos to push the Ruto regime to heed the Azimio coalition's demands.
