The family of celebrated author and Journalist Ken Walibora marks three years since his demise which shocked the nation.
His family, through a tribute published in The Daily Nation, said as Walibora's memory soldiers on, they hope someone will demystify, the journalists' inexplicable demise.
“Another year has slid by in the dazzle, and bustle of living and dying. Ken’s memory soldiers on. Someday, someone will demystify his inexplicably agonizing demise," the tribute read.
The family also described Ken as humble with a unique blend of wit, charm and indomitable faith.
"Today we remember our Mjomba, a father and husband, a loyal friend. We remember his humility, his unique blend of wit, charm, and indomitable faith," the tribute read.
On April 10, 2020, Walibora was reported missing and his body was later found at the Kenyatta National Hospital mortuary on April 15, 2020.
There were allegations that he was hit by a bus along Landhies Road.
Reports indicated Walibora was crossing the road, car keys in his hand, and a press card in his pocket when he was knocked down by a matatu.
Walibora was known for several literary works including the popular 'Siku njema' novel published in 1996.
Some of his other novels include Kidagaa Kimemwozea and Innocence Long Lost.
He also taught at the School of International Relations and Diplomacy at Riara University.
