Leaders from the Rift Valley region have said that when the time comes, they will support Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula when their time to seek the presidency comes.

The leaders spoke at Sulungai Primary School in Malava constituency in Kakamega County where they revealed plans to work with Western Kenya leadership ahead of the 2027 elections and beyond.

Led by Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, and President William Ruto's aid Farouk Kibet, they thanked the two for leading them in the right direction, which is working with the government in place.

They said Mudavadi and Wetangula have demonstrated good leadership in uniting the people of Western Kenya.

"When you see me (Jonathan Bii) here where my brothers Musalia and Weta are be rest assured there is a message we the people of Rift Valley are sending. I am the Governor of the President so the people of Western should be ready and be informed something is cooking," Governor Bii said.

The leaders said that they are ready to support Mudavadi and Wetangula in the succession politics of Kenya once Ruto completes his two terms.

"I sat with my brother Malulu Injendi, he convened 20 churches on the side of Western Kenya (Malava) and I convened 20 churches from Rift Valley (Turbo and parts of Uasin Gishu). This should tell you something," Farouk said.

"I want to thank our neighbours the people of Western Kenya for giving us Musalia and Wetangula to work with President Ruto in Kenya Kwanza... We want to assure them we will also reciprocate at the opportune time. When your time comes we will pay you back."

Senator Cheruiyot said he is happy the people of Western Kenya saw the light.

He said it was a signal that they have realised the importance of working with the government.

This comes even as President William Ruto has on several occasions affirmed that Musalia Mudavadi's sacrifice in the August 2022 election will be rewarded in the days to come.
