President William Ruto has urged the newly appointed Chief Administrative Secretaries (CAS) to work within the law.
The Head of State on Thursday told the officials to work within the parameters of the law while serving Kenyans.
"You have to serve within the parameters of the law irrespective of the position you hold. No one including myself is above the law," Ruto said.
The President also asked the CAS to remember to uphold the oath they took as they start their new work.
"Congratulations on your appointment and I look forward to working with you individually as we make the hustler manifesto of taking the country to the next level a reality," Ruto added.
He was speaking after presiding over the swearing-in of the 50 CAS.
The ceremony which started at around 8 pm took place at State House in Nairobi and was graced by government officials and family members of the CAS.
The CASs were appointed after the courts trashed a case filed by LSK challenging the creation of the position.
Justice Monicah Mbaru, of the Employment and Labour Relations Court, noted in her ruling that the PSC followed requisite legal procedure in establishing the office, including holding public participation.
The court did not, however, cap the number of individuals who should be hired for the position of Chief Administrative Secretary.
There is equally no law that limits the number of CASs a president can nominate.
CAS are entitled to the same gross pay as Permanent secretaries whose pay was reviewed by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission to Sh765,188 from Sh874,500.
