Several protesters have been injured and others arrested in the ongoing demonstrations in Kibra in Nairobi.

This happened even as anti-riot police continue to engage the protestors in running battles.

"No Raila, no peace, Ruto must go...bado mapambano," they chanted while they made attempts to advance to the main highway.

Kibera is one of Azimio leader Raila Odinga's key support bases in the City.

Those arrested were flushed out of their hideouts as police mounted a search for the youth after overpowering them.

Attempts by police to lobbed tear gas canisters and used water cannons in a bid to disperse the protesters who kept on regrouping.
