Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has called on the government to release leaders who were arrested in Nairobi on Monday during the Azimio protests.
This is after a section of legislators allied to the opposition were arrested for leading protests in the City centre.
"All the leaders who have been arrested not in line with the constitution and taken to Kiambu road should be released immediately," he said.
Some of those arrested include; Senate Minority leader Stewart Madzayo, National Assembly minority leader Opiyo Wandayi and one other female leader.
They had on Monday stormed the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
Soon after their entrance, they were dismissed by police officers who hurled tear gas canisters at them.
Azimio protesters stormed the CBD and other parts of the country for mass action.
