Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has told off Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma over his continued attacks on the LGBTQ+ community.

Ahmednasir said he should instead focus on serving his constituents.

He said Kaluma should keep off the matter because it is between a person and the God he or she believes in.

"Hon Kaluma. You are an MP in Homa Bay. Concentrate on your constituency. The Hon Ambassador is rightly articulating Washington's policy on the subject," Ahmednasir said.

The lawyer was responding to a tweet in which Kaluma had called out US Ambassador to Kenya, Meg Whitman for pushing the LGBTQ+ agenda.

Kaluma had insisted that Kenyans will not accept what he termed as the  "perverted sexual orientation".

"The Universal Declaration of Human Rights talks about the rights of all human persons; men and women. Kenyans will not accept that perverted "sexual orientation" @USAmbKenya."

The MP was reacting to remarks by the ambassador who had said they held meetings with the LGBTQ+ community and other stakeholders to support their rights.
