Former police spokesperson Charles Owino has said that the government will not fall in the next ten years.

Owino spoke on Tuesday soon after he joined the UDA party.

He said that as a former civil servant, he will fight for the rights of those in business, the private sector and civil service.

"We have joined this big party in order to cushion our communities who are in business, private sector and civil service so that they are not excluded, they should be included in the development and growth of this country," he said.

"The journey has begun, the future is here and if anybody thinks that this government is going to fall, it is not going to fall in the next ten years."

This comes after six Kenya Kwanza affiliate parties folded to join UDA on Tuesday 14, 2023.

The parties are Umoja na Maendeleo, Farmers Party, Chama Cha Mashinani, Chama cha Kazi, National Agenda Party Of Kenya and Economic Freedom Party.

The changes were announced by United Democratic Alliance secretary general Cleophas Malala.

The former senator encouraged the party members to take up an active role in building the UDA.

They will also participate in all UDA activities including the ongoing membership registration drive and the upcoming party grassroots elections in August.

He said that it is a choice to join UDA and those who want to remain in ODM should do so.

Owino joined the ODM party when he first declared his bid for Siaya county’s top seat.

One month later Owino abandoned the party and joined UDM after failing to secure the party nomination ticket.
