President William Ruto will on Sunday join congregants for church service in Tharaka Nithi county.

He will attend the service at Kirubia Stadium,  Chuka Igambang'ombe Constituency.

The President will be accompanied by other leaders.

Last week, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua attended a church service in Roysambu where he said they will continue going to church until they leave office.

The DP said they are in office because of prayers and will not listen to naysayers who are condemning them for going to church.

“I want to tell our distractors we will be in church 52 Sundays in a year for the next five years,” he said.

He said it was because of prayers that they ascended to power, adding that the plan was for him to be taken to Kamiti.

“They had planned for me to go to Kamiti but because of prayers and God in heaven, today President William Ruto who was selling chicken is the President and commander in chief of the defence forces,” he said.
